About me

I was born in Hong Kong and my cooking journey started when I was studying in Japan in year 2000.  I had to cook everyday for myself like every other foreign students did.  I still remember the days I cooked everyday following the instruction of my first Japanese cooking book “やっぱりおいしい人気おかず ベスト150”!  I cooked and ate with my roommates almost everyday and that was one of the best time in my life so far.  And now I live in San Jose, Northern California with my hubby and I still cook everyday!

I’m not a professional cook and I can’t explain why I love cooking so much!  I guess it’s because i feel that there is nothing more heart-warming and satisfying in the world when people I care smile and enjoy the food I made for them.  I am the happiest person in the world when they say “yummy” to my food!  I believe everyone can cook, cooking really can be fast and easy, all you need is a little planning and research ahead.  I can’t encourage people enough to cook everyday, you save money, your family eat right, everyone is happy!  Therefore I’m more than happy to share with you my recipes everyday!  Please don’t hesitate to comment and ask me anything about my recipes!  bon appétit!

    Hi Karen,
I love your food photos! Everything looks delicious!
I’m emailing to see if you would be interested in selling your macarons on a wedding marketplace my fiance and I just launched:
    http://www.wedzu.com
I think they would be very popular as favors and desserts!
Just let me know if you would like to learn more — you can also read some FAQs about selling on the site here http://wedzu.com/faqs/4

    Kind regards,
    Annie
